I bought this dvd expecting nothing having read the previous review. The picture quality is vhs standard which is to be expected from a 25 year old concert. The show is the us festival 1983 which is a legendary gig where van halen had a spat with the clash and all of this is documented in this release. I have bought another version of this from amazon titled the braod cast archive which was appalling quality this dvd is significantly better although not in any way perfect. The picture has a slight haze due probably to the venue lighting being an outdoor gig although i found it a very enjoyable watch. I would recomend this release on the grounds that there is no alternative full length van halen show from this period available in better quality.
i do agree with the other review that they should have included a menu.

This would be the ideal dvd for a fan of the Dave Lee Roth years, alas it is very poor quality footage of Van halen live, there are no options at all at the start of the dvd to select songs so it just goes straight into the footage with no introduction and not even at the start of the gig or song !!
The quality is so poor and blurred that it is almost impossible to watch.
So dissappointed with the start i fast forwarded to see if it gets any better but it just continues in the same vain till the end.
If you are a pre Sammy Hagar Fan then this is to be avoided at all costs a total waste of money for a geniune fan of the group when in all honesty they were at their peak.
